Busy Season

What this is

An idle game about the profession. You start as an AP clerk posting entries by hand, buy help that posts them for you, and climb the ladder - every promotion multiplies everything. Once a year is big enough you can close it: money and staff reset, and you keep CPE credits that speed up every year after. Reach CFO, certify the annual report, and the game ends. On purpose.

Progress saves in your browser and accrues while you are away, up to eight hours - the game respects your evenings even if the profession does not. Nothing from the game leaves your browser; the site keeps a cookieless count of page views and that is all.

The free web game runs the whole staff track, through Accounting Supervisor and as many closed years as you like. The management track - Assistant Controller to CFO and the ending - ships in the Busy Season app, out now. Your save exports and imports, so the career comes with you.

If the game earned a smile, a coffee funds the coffee machine.
